The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is looking to construct a new Class A MWR Class A with phosphorous removal) WWTP which will improve the treatment and management for wastewater. The new WWTP will improve services to existing residents and better protect public and environmental health. The construction of the plant includes the following equipment: • Headworks – Mechanical Screen with Spiral Auger and Vortex Grit Removal System • Secondary Treatment – Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) • Effluent Filtration – Drum Filters c/w Loading Crane • Effluent Disinfection – UV Disinfection • Sludge Digestion – Aerobic Digesters (Fine Bubble Diffusers c/w Mechanical Mixer) • Sludge Dewatering – Centrifuge c/w Shaftless Screw Conveyor Polymer Feed • Chemical Feeds – Alkalinity Tank Dosing, Coagulant Dosing Skid • Odour Control – Activated Carbon Absorption System • Reclaimed water re-use system The process equipment is to be housed in two precast concrete buildings. The main building will house the headworks, blowers, odour control, sludge dewatering and chemical dosing equipment. The filter building will contain tertiary filtration, coagulant dosing, reclaimed water re-use system and will be built over the equalization tank. Secondary treatment will occur in two poured in place SBR tanks. Sludge digestion will occur in two poured in place aerobic digesters. The treated effluent will be disposed of via two rapid infiltration basins (RIB). Note that the RIBs are already built, and only need to have piping added and be connected to the treatment plant. Included in the scope is building supply and install, concrete works, process piping, yard piping, electrical, mechanical, miscellaneous instrumentation, SCADA, landscaping, and other ancillary works. |
